Another Great and Informative Book

I really liked the colorful book cover on Deborah's latest book “Acupuncture Points”. Also, I am so pleased that she has chosen a nice large font. It makes it so easy to read. The graphics are absolutely amazing. They are so clear and easy to understand. Obviously, it must require a great deal of research and training to write a book of this type. She must have spent many months completing it. I gave this book a 5 star rating.
This is the 4th book I have purchased by this author. Her books have been so helpful. I am very interested in learning how to have good health without the use of prescription drugs. Her books always give good suggestions about how accomplishing this.
Keep up the good work and write another book soon.

Great Reference

I think this is a good reference for patients to have a hold of when they are already familiar with acupuncture.

It is set up according to the meridians and covers every point, which could be overwhelming for a newcomer. I believe there is a market for a shorter version of this book as an introduction - the 25 most used points for acupressure or something like that would be a great reference for people getting started.

That being said, it is well thought out, well illustrated and obvious that a lot of heart and soul was poured into it.

Lots of basic antenna information.

Great book for the SWL listener, scanner enthusiast, or new ham who does not want build an antenna system but purchase off the shelf items. Books gives you the basic criteria of what you need for different frequencies and locations, how to make an informed purchase based on your needs and some of the limitations that you may encounter. No math in this book, just basic antenna principles to be aware of and a bit of a buying guide. Only negative I have is that the book repeats itself at times, but there is enough useful information to still make this a good read, especially if you are starting from scratch and trying to figure out what your first step should be. I expected this to be a 3 star book when I bought it, but when I reviewed all of the information in it, I had to raise that to a 5 star book. Read on my Kindle HDX. Next I will read "Antenna Anthology" by the same author to see if it improves my knowledge base any further.

First I will say that I just love the writings of Juanita Bynum.
This book is a spiritual growth guide for every Christian. The author states 'My prayer is that, by the time you complete Day 40, you will have met the person you lost so long ago. You will have become acquiainted with who you really are and you are going to like who you are.' This says it all! Amen!
Each of the 40 days include Bible verses,Today's Devotion,Challenge The Sheets, and Meditation.
You will learn what it mean to 'Challenge The Sheets.'
It is an excellent, and life changing book. You will love the 40 day journey.

You have to get this. Don't even think twice, when you purchase No More Sheets: Staring Over, just get the guide too. As if the book wasn't enough, the guide turns it around and allows you to mediate on the lessons presented in her book, which allows it to resonate with you so much so that you can turn around and articulate these same concepts to someone else. I've been convicted, comforted, amazed and just blessed by this guide.

About the Author
Sir Ernst Gombrich was one of the greatest and least conventional art historians of his age, achieving fame and distinction in three separate spheres: as a scholar, as a popularizer of art, and as a pioneer of the application of the psychology of perception to the study of art. His best-known book, The Story of Art - first published 50 years ago and now in its 16th edition - is one of the most influential books ever written about art. His books further include Art and Illusion(1979) and The Preference for the Primitive (2002), as well as a total of 11 volumes of collected essays and reviews. Gombrich was born in Vienna in 1909 and died in London in November 2001. He came to London in 1936 to work at the Warburg Institute, where he eventually became Director from 1959 until his retirement in 1976. He won numerous international honours, including a knighthood, the Order of Merit and the Goethe, Hegel and Erasmus prizes. Gifted with a powerful mind and prodigious memory, he was also an outstanding communicator, with a clear and forceful prose style. His works are models of good art-historical writing, and reflect his humanism and his deep and abiding concern with the standards and values of our cultural heritage.

Great Gombrich, again

Another great book by Gombrich, this one is particularly inclusive of many theories of his that have been brought up in other books, yet his reflections on art, nature, psychology, the brain and how we see and think, as well as decorative development throughout history is marvelous. As usual, not a book you sit down to read in one sitting...one you come back to time and time again. A must for the serious artist's library.

I use this book in my classroom to explain not only the development of the ornament in all cultures, but to go deep further in the analisys and exploration of the basic elements of design. Mainly an author regarded in the art history circles, this book of Gombrich would be an excelent companion for all design students, fashion, graphic or any branch you came from. it is also a charming and full of fun facts to read. if you get it you would discover reading for many time justa little part and coming back continously for fresh references and inspiration.
